Telehealth.
Telehealth therapy is a form of virtual therapy. It uses real-time, face-to-face communication between a therapist and a client. Common goals for therapy include change and improving the quality of life.
It can be completed in the comfort of your own home. Telehealth sessions are considered a safe place for individuals to talk about tough topics that can be difficult to cope with alone and client privacy is still prioritized with this modality.
Sessions typically last from 30 to 55 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on the client’s needs. It may be a good time to talk to a telehealth therapist if you do not have access to transportation or have medical conditions that make it difficult to leave the home. Telehealth may not be a good choice for you if you do not have a computer or access to the internet. Always check with your insurance to ensure the insurance covers these types of therapy services.
